Job Description with Roles & Responsibilities: 

Candidate with solidunderstanding of standard client/server, networking, and Internet fundamentalsand a superior knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in SystemCenter Operations Manager with experience in managing medium to largeenvironments. The candidate should be able to troubleshoot all aspects of SCOMeffectively and understand the product configuration, flow and logging indetail. The candidate should understand fully the base OS and SCOM ManagementPacks and be able to discuss in detail at least one of the following ManagementPacks: Active Directory, VMware, Citrix, Exchange, IIS or SQL includingconfiguration, tuning and customization.

 

Essential Functions:

ï‚· Ongoing maintenance & administration of SystemCenter Operations Manager.

ï‚· Adherence to policies, processes and procedures withinyour areas of responsibility.

ï‚· Assistance with execution of projects related to areasof responsibility.

ï‚· Document supporting policies, processes and procedureswithin your areas of responsibilities.

ï‚· Provide 3rd level support to our internal support staffand customers.

ï‚· Continue proficiencies on emerging technologies throughself-study and internal training.

ï‚· Available for after-hours critical escalations andproject work as assigned.

 

Responsibilities alsoinclude: 

ï‚· Oversee the rollout of monitoring software updates.

ï‚· Oversee the rollout of new and updated monitoringscripts.

ï‚· Identify, research, and resolve technical problemsassociated to monitoring systems. 

ï‚· Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requestsfor technical support associated to monitoring systems. Document, track, andmonitor the incident to ensure a timely resolution. 

ï‚· Manage the installation of new software releases, systemupgrades, and patch installs that resolves monitoring related softwareproblems. ï‚·Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of monitoringsystems.

ï‚· Develop and update RTS documentation for assigned OSSapplications and systems. 

ï‚· Routinely review monitoring systems and services toensure stability and security. 

ï‚· Assist in interpretation of diagnostic data obtainedfrom monitoring solutions.

ï‚· Provide escalation support to Implementation team forstandard monitoring implementation. 

ï‚· Provide implementation support for custom monitoringorders.
