Automotive Steering system / engine control system /ABS /\\r\\nfuel system / any electro mechanical system domain expertise (motor control,\\r\\nmotor drives, actuators, sensors, pump, power management, vehicle interface,\\r\\nprojection)

Role:

\\r\\n\\r\\n

This\\r\\nposition is located in Bangalore, India. For the right candidate, we are\\r\\nlooking for an inquisitive, highly self-motivated individual who is eager to\\r\\nlearn and has good attention to detail and time management skills. The primary\\r\\nresponsibility includes requirement development for ADAS & Steering system\\r\\nwhich is the core of Nexteer Automotive programs. The person must have a strong\\r\\nunderstanding of automotive electro mechanical software domain (motor\\r\\ncontrol, motor drives, actuators, sensors, pump, power management, vehicle\\r\\ninterface, etc.).

The\\r\\nengineer is expected to prepare the high-level requirements in consultation\\r\\nwith customer interfacing teams, function owners and domain experts. This\\r\\nposition allows the candidate to see the full lifecycle of the project from\\r\\nrequirements “to design”, “to testing”, “to implementation”, “to production”.\\r\\nThe ideal candidate will be eager to learn about motor control systems and\\r\\ndrives, motor control signals, and embedded systems

  • lsESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Author Nexteer requirements within assigned domain, based on allocated requirements from customer requirements.
    • Responsible for requirement analysis and ensure availability of requirement specifications for all project stakeholders
    • Analyze customer, system, and safety requirements to help derive software architecture requirements.
    • Responsible for defining, creating and managing new software level requirements and deriving of performance, robustness & implied requirements
    • Participate in requirements compliance matrix (RCM) reviews, supporting allocation of requirements to assigned domain. Actively participate in peer reviews & clarifying open points
    • Derive requirements within assigned domain and allocate to lower areas of the Nexteer EPS requirements hierarchy.
    • Ensure maintenance, revision control, and communication of assigned Nexteer domain requirements based on Nexteer change control practices.
    • Support of requirements management process for functional owners, analysts, architects and project leaders
    • Tracking of completion of requirements analysis process and reporting of status to project management and maintain and report out on quality metrics.
    • Support in ensuring traceability among requirements and traceability to design documents, test plans and work tasks
    • Automation of requirement management tasks and report generation (using scripting tool like DXL, Java, Python)

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Engineering Degree in electronics / electrical / mechanical / computer science / Information Technology
    • 4+ years of automotive embedded software development. At least 2+ years of experience with management of technical requirements for complex mechatronic systems.

    MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Broad Technical Background with general knowledge of 8-bit /16-bit/ 32-bit micro controllers, multi core architectures, Electrical motor, BLDC motor, pump, sensors, power pack technology, automotive system safety and environmental requirements
    • Strong skills in Requirement analysis and Software Design
    • Working knowledge of software (Automotive) development processes, V Model & ALM tools
    • Working knowledge of vehicle networking protocols like CAN, LIN, Flex ray
    • Strong skills in DOORS/DNG and ALM too

Job Description:

• Responsible for leading project management activities across all\\r\\nfunctional areas in the systems and electronic systems organization.

• Implement continuous improvement of project management maturity\\r\\nand capability within the organization. Includes adherence to ASPICE and other\\r\\nrelevant standards.

• Build the Systems and Electronic Systems project management team\\r\\nto successfully plan, execute, monitor, and control multiple Electronic Power\\r\\nSteering embedded system development projects.

• Serve as the primary electrical systems project management\\r\\ninterface to internal and external customers for all project deliverables.

• Set priorities and resolve conflicts across multiple projects\\r\\nand functional teams.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 TO 10 �years of embedded system development\\r\\nexperience.�

\\r\\n\\r\\n

• Minimum of 3 years of Project Management and/or Leadership\\r\\nexperience.

\\r\\n\\r\\n

• Excellent people management skills.

\\r\\n\\r\\n

• Excellent understanding of project management concepts,\\r\\nmethodologies, and associated tools.

\\r\\n\\r\\n

• Experience leading embedded system projects through the\\r\\ndevelopment cycle to a successful conclusion.

• Strong project planning and tracking capability using Microsoft\\r\\nProject & PLM tools.

• Good understanding of various estimation techniques and\\r\\nmethodologies such as Parametric, Wideband Delphi, MVC, COCOMO etc.
