Job responsibilities:
· Understanding the Netcool Application layered architecture.
· Designing of development activities in Netcool Suite.
· Experience with installation / configuration of Tivoli Netcool/Impact
· Experience working with Probes ( mttrapd, eif, & ping)
· Supporting on development tickets raised on the Netcool application.
· Interaction with customer to understand the requirements and implement the Netcool solution at customer site
· Web GUI filters development as per the user’s request.
· Omnibus tools and automations development activities.
· Configuration activities on Probes and Gateways.
· Support and development on the Netcool IMPACT, Netcool OMNIbus Rules.
· Scripting and support in Impact polices and enrichment.
· Expertise Level of knowledge in Netcool Suite of Products like Omnibus and Web GUI.
· High Level Understanding of E2E flow of events in Netcool suite.
· Development skills in Omnibus Tools, procedures and automations.
· Development skills in Probes rules and filter files.
· Should have knowledge of distributed architecture of ITNM3.9, 4.1 & 4.2.
· Should have knowledge of MIB customization.
· Should have knowledge of creating custom poll_policy and polldef.
· Should be able to browse the data from MIB browser.
· Should have knowledge on event enrichment at OMNIbus probe rules level.
· Should have knowledge of ITNM administration
· Should have knowledge on ITNM RCA
· Should have knowledge of Network view creation in ITNM.
· Should have knowledge of discovery configuration and discovery status.
· Should be able to do the event and data level trouble shooting.
· Should have basic knowledge of RDBMS (Trigger/Procedure creation)
· Good level of knowledge in Scripting, SQL queries and Policies.
· Good knowledge in Unix Platform Operations and Database concepts.
· Candidate should have basic knowledge on network components & NOC activities.
