Job Description:


• Desktop Engineer will provide first level infrastructure management support for all the Customer IT equipment’s against the call logged in central call logging tool as per the assigned severity level. • Desktop Engineer shall provide first level assistance to the users in the operation of PCs, Printers, Peripherals and software so that the Customer users can perform their work smoothly. • In addition to above, Desktop Engineer will extend the support to coordinate with respective vendors in diagnosing and resolving the issue for Warranty/ AMC devices, if required. • Desktop Engineer will provide end-point software support but not limited to MS OS XP, 7, 8, 8.1/10 etc.), MS Office, MS Visio, Project, Anti-Virus, Email, ERP etc. • Engineers must have excellent communication skills and should be presentable. • Desktop Engineer will provide hardware support of Desktop/ Laptop/ Printers/ Scanner/ Peripherals. In case of failure of parts, Desktop Engineer will coordinate with local AMC vendor to get the spare parts and change the same at Customer location itself. • Desktop Engineer will provide first level Network (Wire/ Wireless) and coordinate with WAN service provider with help of Central Help desk. • Desktop Engineer will ensure Customer standardization policy of using same/ specific versions of software throughout the organization, whenever the directive comes from Corporate Office to change the versions, the Desktop Engineer will support for making such changes uniformly all the Locations and as desired by Customer. • Desktop Engineer will also provide necessary application and software support to Customer Dealer and Distributor via telephonic, email and remote session as per assigned severity level of call logging tool. • Desktop Engineer will maintain complete records of Customer IT assets, Network diagram in coordination with Customer respective location Commercial Heads and Customer Head Office Noida IT team. • In case respective desktop engineer visit to Customer dealer/ distributor place to resolve the application and software issue, the Desktop engineer will entitle for local conveyance, logging and boarding as per Customer tour and travel policy.
