Job Description: 

Web-Sphere Application Server. Activities • Usage of WebSphere deployment console for application deployment. • Usage of clusters, profiles creation, nodes to clusters, deployment manager etc. • Application Deployment / Configuration (as per deployment document provided) • Daily check list proactive monitoring • Plugin configuration. • Additional domain configuration • Application Server (Admin/ Manage Instance) Restart. • WebSphere Server Maintain (Log File / Data File Management etc.) • Configuring connection pools. • Configuring Threads. • Backup of Configuration Files. • WebSphere Server Performance monitoring. • Load balance Configuration, Performance Tuning & Interval based monitoring. • Session management configuration. • SSL Configuration which includes Self signed and Third party digital certificates. • Troubleshooting issues with WAS / HTTP Server / Edge Components. • Identify & Fix performance bottlenecks related to WAS or HTTP Server etc. • Identifying and applying recommended Fix packs for maintenance of WAS. • Identifying and applying fix packs for product related issues. WebSphere MQ Activities • Installation / Configuration of WebSphere MQ. • Upgradation / Migration / Patch Management WebSphere MQ. • Create or Modify WebSphere MQ Queue Managers. • Create or Modify WebSphere MQ Channels. • Configuring Queue Manager Clusters. • Daily Check List Proactive Monitoring. • Identifying and applying fix packs for product related issues. • Raising PMR with IBM and product related issues. • Assisting IBM with logs and traces from the servers. • Implementing changes suggested by IBM for resolution of such issues. • Root cause analysis and reporting. • Backup / Restore of Queue managers. WebLogic Application Server. Activities • WebLogic Server Installation. • 3rd Party / Additional Plugin Configuration. • Additional Domain Configuration. • Application Server [Admin / Manage Instance] Restart • JMS Configuration • Configuration of JVM Heap size. • Configuring connections pool. • Configuring Threads. • Backup of Configuration Files. • Reinstallation of WebLogic Servers. • Cluster Configuration. • WebLogic Patching. • SSL Certificate Configuration with WebLogic using Key tools. • Performance Tuning. • Troubleshooting runtime issues. • Troubleshooting Application Deployment issues. • Identifying and Applying fix packs for product related issues. • Raising product related issues with principle vendor. • Implementing changes suggested by principle vendor for issue resolution. • Root cause analysis and reporting. • Creation of Manage Servers on cluster node. • Creation of Nodes/ Machines for the managed servers. • Linking of Domain with load manager. • Testing of installed components of weblogic. Apache / Pramati /Tomcat Application Server. Activities • Installation/ Configuration • Website (URL) hosting over internet. • Web Server instance restart. • Web server movement / migration. • Additional Application accessibility (Virtual Host Configuration) • Configuration of Apache instance (httpd*.conf) • Configuration of security settings in apache instance. • Configuration of accessing only static pages from application • Generation of CSR. • Installing / Upgrading SSL Certificate on apache instance. • Webserver configuration information. • Webserver Maintenance (Log file purging / Application / Datafile purging, Permission review..etc) • Webserver performance monitoring. • Troubleshooting • Identifying and Applying fix packs for product related issues. • Raising product related issues with principle vendor. • Implementing changes suggested by principle vendor for issue resolution. • Root cause analysis and reporting. Middleware Cluster Activities • Installation / Configuration & Maintenance • Documentation of deployment architecture.
